It was St Swithin's Day today: did it rain where you are?

YEAH, WHATEVER, St Swithin.

Today is the annual traditional weather-watching day where a sniff of rain is meant to designate the same conditions for the following 40 days. It’s all the fault of some people who decided to relocate the remains of a dead bishop of Winchester apparently – read more here.

While there were dull skies in places today around Ireland, the rainfall radar at Met Éireann was pretty clear…

So, if one were to believe legend, we’re in for a good spell in the coming 40 days.
