A 13-YEAR-OLD BOY has been charged with stabbing an Irish man to death on Sunday.

Christopher John Barry, also known as Jack, was murdered outside his home in The Broadway, north London after a “verbal altercation” with a group of youngsters.

The victim was originally from Cobh in county Cork.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed last night that a 13-year-old boy has been charged with his murder tonight.

The boy – who cannot be named for legal reasons – will appear at Highbury Corner Youth Court later today.

Four other boys – three aged 14 and one aged 13 – were arrested on suspicion of murder.

They have been bailed to return to an east London police station in late January next year pending further enquiries.
