Garda probe after stabbing in Tallaght

The incident happened at about 8.30pm with a young man taken to hospital.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING a potential stabbing in the Tallaght area of Dublin last night.

The incident occurred at about 8.30pm on Allenton Avenue with the victim understood to be a 23-year-old man.

The man was found with injuries that gardaí believe are stab wounds. He was taken to Tallaght Hospital and treated for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

A garda investigation has been launched but no details are available as yet about the assailant.
