IF YOU BELIEVE in star signs, people born under the sign of Scorpio are secretive, stubborn and insensitive.
And now, as if they don’t have enough to contend with, it turns out that they also make more motor insurance claims than any other sign of the zodiac. Can’t those guys get a break?
AA Ireland did a review of car insurance claims and found that Arians (people born between 21 March and 20 April) make the least claims on their car insurance, closely followed by Leos, who are born between 23 July and 22 August.
Geminis made the second-most claims after Scorpios, closely followed by Capricorns, Librans, Taurans and Virgos who all tied for 3rd place.
Aquarian and committed rationalist Conor Faughnan says Scorpios shouldn’t panic just yet.
“To be honest we are very rational and skeptical in here,” he said. “As major motor insurers you would hope that it is true”.
The differences in risk rate based on your birthday are very very small but for all that it can be a bit of fun to compare them.
So don’t worry. Faughnan assures us that insurance companies won’t be carefully checking your birthday and assessing your personality traits.
“We don’t take it all that seriously, and certainly we don’t use astrology to rate motor insurance risk,” he said. “But it was a fun exercise and caused a lot of debate here in the office.”
