ESB Networks say that over 2,500 homes had earlier been affected in Donegal but repairs have been undertaken throughout the day.
Outages were reported in a number of areas including Ballybofey, Buncrana and at the border near Derry.

Areas in Meath and Dublin had also been affected by outages with around 200 homes in Trim still without power.
Coastal areas in Dublin such as Malahide and East Wall had also experienced problems but power has now been restoredthere.

Northern Ireland Electricity say that up to 2,700 of their customers are currently without power with crews responding to over 250 faults on the electricity network across Northern Ireland.
AA Ireland have also warned motorists that strong crosswinds have affected a number of routes.
The N11 Wexford to Dublin Road has reopened northbound at Glen of the Downs following the removal of dangerous trees but traffic restrictions are in place in Wicklow Town due to flooding.
Some flight disruption may be expected this afternoon into and out of Scotland and northern England. Passengers are advised to check with their airline’s website before travelling to the airport.
Met Éireann say that a weather warning remains in place due to gale force winds but that winds should ease throughout the day.
Gusts of up to 120kph were recorded in the north-west of the country overnight with Munster and Leinster experiencing winds winds of up to 110kph.
