Appeal after woman in her 70s struck by car while crossing the road

The woman was taken to St James’s Hospital with serious injuries.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses after a woman in her 70’s was struck by a car as she crossed the road in the Crumlin area of Dublin.

It happened on Sundrive road beside Sundrive Park at around 7.15 this morning.

The driver of the car was uninjured but the woman was taken to St James’s Hospital with serious injuries.

A section of Sundrive Road is currently closed to facilitate an examination and motorists are advised to take alternative routes.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Sundrive Road Garda Station on 01 6666600, the garda confidential telephone line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
