THE THIRD ANNIVERSARY of the conflict in Syria is fast approaching.

According to the latest estimates from Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, more than 140,000 people have died in civil war, including over 7,000 children

Millions more have been displaced.

This short video from the Save The Children UK transposes the conflict into a Western setting.

It chronicles the experience of a young girl in a fictional war in the United Kingdom, from her eight birthday in her family home, to her ninth in a refugee camp.
