Pet owners have taken to social media with photos of their dogs in the special carts.

AN ITALIAN SHOP owner decided to take things into his own hands when he kept seeing dogs being tied up outside his store.

Gianfranco Galantini, the owner of Unes grocery store in Liano, Italy created a compartment for dogs in his stores shopping trolleys.

His supermarket has now been dubbed the ”most pet-friendly supermarket” on social media.

And the dogs look very happy about the new development:
