Teen released over alleged Rathmines rape

The 14-year-old boy was released this morning.

THE TEENAGER WHO was arrested over an alleged rape at a Dublin nightclub has been released without charge.

The 14-year-old boy had been arrested at the TramCo nightclub in Rathmines in south Dublin on Thursday night following an allegation by a 15-year-old girl that she had been raped in the toilets.

He had been held for questioning by gardaí but has now been released, RTÉ reports. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The nightclub had been hosting a disco for Junior Certificate students.
