VIDEO: Watch Prince Charles present the weather on the BBC

Watch out Evelyn Cusack: there’s some new competition in town.

IF THE WHOLE being-a-prince thing doesn’t work out for Prince Charles, there’s always a second option: weatherman.

The Prince of Wales was on a tour of the BBC Scotland headquarters in Glasgow today to celebrate 60 years of BBC Scotland television – and the heir to the throne took the opportunity to practice his forecasting skills in front of the camera.

He proved to be somewhat of a natural, solemnly warning viewers of cold, wet and windy weather, along with outbreaks of rain (it was Scotland, after all).

Jean Byrne and Evelyn Cusack better watch out: there’s some new competition in town.
