Big news: The Muppets are making a return to television

The show will take on a contemporary documentary style.

ARE YOU SITTING down? ABC today released a list of shows that it has renewed and announced there will be a revival of the 1970s show The Muppets.

The show will take on a new mockumentary style that explores the lives of the much-loved characters like Kermit and Miss Piggy.

The Guardian reports the documentary show will show the characters’ romances, arguments, successes and disappointments in life.

Bill Prady and Bob Kushell are co-writers and executive producers alongside Randall Einhorn and Bill Barretta.
