Tributes paid after body of missing Cork man recovered from River Lee

Thomas Rawley (63) was last seen in December.

TRIBUTES ARE BEING paid to missing Cork man Thomas Rawley whose body was discovered in the River Lee this morning.

Gardaí confirmed this evening that the man’s body was removed from the river at John Horgan Quay at 10am.

Thomas Rawley (63) was last seen at around 7.30am on 22 December on South Main Street in the city.

Gardaí and his family said they were concerned for his welfare.

His daughter said on Facebook that her father was found this morning, and she would like to thank people “for their help and support in the last few weeks”.
