Three arrested over Limerick murder

THREE PEOPLE have been arrested by gardaí investigating the murder of Ger McMahon in Limerick last week.

The 43-year-old was found seriously injured outside a house at Lenihan Avenue just after midnight on 18 January.

He had suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to Mid-Western Regional Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The three – one man aged in his 30s, a woman in her 40s and a female juvenile – were all arrested in the Mungret area of Limerick this morning and are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

They are being held at Henry Street, Mayorstone, and Roxboro Garda Stations.
