Three arrests in Kildare in dissident inquiry

A car is seized as a number of searches are carried out in Co Kildare, as part of investigations into dissident republicanism.

Three men, aged in their 30s, have been arrested in Co Kildare as part of an ongoing investigation into the activities of dissident republicans.

One man was held shortly before 2am in Clane, when the car he was driving was seized.

The other two men were arrested at 10:30am and a number of searches were carried out in Robertstown, Co. Kildare.

Gardaí said the operation is ongoing and investigations are continuing.

All three are being held at Naas Garda Station.
