OH TLC, HOW we loved you. Hell, we still do.

Three fiesty women who didn’t take no bull from nobody, Chilli, Left-Eye and T-Boz might have had ridiculous names, but their R&B songs were the bomb.

No Scrubs was an anthem for women who found themselves drawn to ridiculously unsuitable men, and is still a total choon.

Sadly, Lisa ‘Left-Eye’ Lopez died in an automobile accident on 25 April 2002, but the TLC back catalogue holds some of her fantastic 90s gems. Here’s No Scrubs, which she co-wrote:
