RTÉ HAS DECIDED not to comment after Today FM breakfast host Ian Dempsey pointed out that last night’s Late Late Show featured no mention of, or tribute to Tony Fenton.

Dempsey tweeted his surprise at the omission last night, noting that he’d received a call from Ryan Tubridy earlier in the day.

A spokesperson for RTÉ told DailyEdge.ie that the broadcaster has no comment to make on the issue.

Tony Fenton worked at 2FM for 18 years before moving to Today FM in 2003.

He passed away last Thursday morning at St Vincent’s Hospital.

Ian Dempsey was among many fans and colleagues paying tribute to Fenton in recent days.
