Poll: Do you support this weekend's train strikes?

Legitimate grievance? Or shoddy behaviour?

AS MANY AS 90,000 people will be affected by train strikes happening on Sunday and Monday, as workers protest against pay cuts proposed by Irish Rail.

The company has insisted the cuts are essential, and said the strikes – which will impact travel to the All-Ireland football semi-final – are “insanity.”

Union chiefs, however, have said that funding for train services have already been reduced to 1998 levels, and that there is a lack of trust between Irish Rail, the government, and workers.

So what do you think – do you support this weekend’s train strikes?

Poll Results:

No (5990)
Yes (1997)
I don't know (517)
