Truck driver dies in Offaly road crash

The man in his 50s was driving a truck which left the road just before 8am this morning.

A MAN HAS died after the truck he was driving left the road just before 8am this morning.

The man in his 50s was fatally injured in the crash on the Bracknagh to Monasterevin Road, the L1002, just before 8am this morning.

No other vehicle was involved in the incident. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road has been closed and a garda forensic collision investigation team are carrying out an examination at the scene.
