A truck is on fire on the main Galway to Dublin road

THERE ARE DELAYS on the main Galway to Dublin road after a truck caught fire on the motorway not far from Moate.

AA Roadwatch is warning that there are delays on the M6 on the approach to junction six. Smoke from the fire is also making visibility difficuilt for mototorists travelling in both directions.

The stricken truck is stopped on the eastbound side of the M6 about 15km past Athlone.
