Man arrested after entering Tullamore office centre with firearm

No one was injured in the incident, which occurred at 8.30am this morning.

GARDAÍ IN OFFALY have arrested a man after he attempted to enter a building with a suspected firearm.

The incident occurred in Millennium House on Main Street in Tullamore at 8.30am this morning.

The building houses a number of different organisations.

No one was injured in the incident.

The 37-year-old is currently being held at Tullamore Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
