Two arrested and rifles seized after shots fired in Tallaght

Shots were fired through the window of a house in Hazel Hill in the Dublin suburb early this morning.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested and two rifles seized by Gardaí after a shooting incident in Tallaght overnight.

A number of shots were fired through the window of a house at Hazel Hill in Tallaght, south Dublin just before 1am this morning.

A man in his 30s who was in the house at the time was not injured, gardaí say.

In a follow-up operation the two men, both in their 30s, were arrested and the two rifles were seized.

The men are currently being held at Tallaght Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
