Two die after lorry loses control on side road

The incident occurred near the Clonmel, Tipperary.

TWO MEN HAVE died in Tipperary after the lorry they were travelling in lost control, gardaí have said.

The incident occurred on a minor road off the N24 near Clonmel earlier this morning.

The two men, one in his late 20s and the other in his 50s, were fatally injured.

They are understood to be from Waterford.

The road remains closed while a technical examination of the scene is carried out.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this collision, which occurred around 9am, to contact Clonmel Garda Station on 052-6177640, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
