Van catches fire on M1 motorway in Louth

At the moment, there are no reports of any injuries.

A VAN THAT caught fire at Junction 12 of the M1 Northbound in Louth at around 12.30pm this afternoon has been extinguished.

One unit from Drogheda Fire Brigade and another from Dunleer attended the scene.

A spokesperson for Louth County Council Fire and Rescue told TheJournal.ie that “no other vehicle was involved in the incident”.

At the moment, there are no reports of any injuries.

A garda spokesperson said that section of the road has “reopened” after being “partially blocked” for sometime.
