Remember when it was so hot that we needed ways to cool off? This video shows people jumping off the diving platforms at Blackrock in Galway.

YES, IT WAS a meteorological freak which may not be repeated for years to come, but for a few weeks the heatwave made life just that little bit better.

So all the more reason to savour this rather lovely video by Christopher Tierney, a Galway-based videographer and designer. The video captures people jumping off Blackrock diving board on one of the hottest days in July when temperatures hit the high 20s and it actually became necessary to find ways to cool off.

Gorgeous.
