Video: The terrifying moment when the high-speed train derailed in Spain

New footage has emerged from a security camera which shows the train travelling a high speed near a bend as it derails.

AS A SEARCH and recovery operation continues in northwest Spain today, new footage has emerged of the moment when a passenger train went off the rails last night, killing at least 77 people and leaving 143 people injured.

Spanish newspaper El Pais has posted this video taken from a security camera placed just ahead of the fatal bend before the train derailed. In the video, the train can be seen travelling at a high speed as it approaches the bend and the middle carriages of the train come off the tracks.
