Vogue Williams went to a 'spanking class' for her new RTÉ documentary

And where could you go to one of those? Asking for a friend.

PEOPLE OF IRELAND, we don’t mean to alarm you, but RTÉ is getting sexy.

In her new three-part documentary series Mean Girls, Vogue Williams meets women who ‘defy traditional perceptions of the fairer sex’, like MMA fighters and death row inmates, as well as the sexually adventurous.

DailyEdge.ie caught up with Vogue at the RTÉ 2 launch earlier today and had to ask: What on earth do you mean by ‘sexually adventurous’?

“I met male and female sex workers, delved into the world of BDSM, and went to a weird sex dungeon in London,” she said. “RTÉ paid for me to have a massage off a male gigolo.”

This is where your TV licence money is going, people. Not normally the type of thing you see on RTÉ, is it?

And it gets even more steamy – part of the documentary sees Vogue taking a class in ‘spanking skills’ (and getting spanked herself) at Coco De Mer, a swanky sex shop in London.

She says it gave her a new-found appreciation of the kink:

Spanking is a bit alright. It’s not that bad when someone does it properly. If they had spanking classes in Dublin I’d say girls would go because it’s so hilarious – if you went with all your friends it’d be such a laugh.

The show also explores the hidden side of Irish sex lives – like a swingers party held in the otherwise unsexy setting of a Limerick industrial estate.

I think people will be shocked – they had to blur out certain images. There’s just so much that goes on in this world that we don’t know about, so it was interesting to find out.

Seems like we might learn a thing or five when Mean Girls airs on RTÉ2 in the autumn. We wait with bated breath…
