Volkswagen are offering a new scrappage deal worth up to €6,500 on older diesels

Get money off a new Audi, SEAT, Skoda, or Volkswagen when you trade in your old diesel-powered vehicle.

THE VOLKSWAGEN GROUP Ireland has announced a new scrappage offer available across its brands; Audi, SEAT, Skoda, and VW.

The EcoGrant is to encourage the uptake of lower-emission new cars whilst at the same time removing older, Euro 1-4 emissions standard vehicles from our roads. Yup, all vehicles traded-in will be actually scrapped not resold.

By trading-in a vehicle customers can get anything from €800 to €6,500 off a range of petrol and diesel cars as well as plug-in hybrid and full electric vehicles too.

Examples of offers include €3,000 off the price of a new Volkswagen Golf, €4,500 off the price of a new Volkswagen Arteon and up to €14,000 off the full price of the eGolf when combined with the existing government VRT rebate and SEAI grants for electric vehicles.

There is €5,500 off the price of a new Audi A6 and A7 and €6,500 off the Audi Q7 e-tron.

There’s €2,750 off the price of a new SEAT Leon and Skoda Octavia and €3,750 of the Superb.

The Volkswagen Crafter van gets €4,000 off the price.

The offer applies to owners of any make or model of diesel vehicle with pre-Euro 5 (2009) emissions standards. The trade-in vehicle must have been registered in owner’s name for at least six months. The EcoGrant will be applied to orders placed between 8 September and 31 December 2017 and registered by 30 June 2018.
