Watch: Foo Fighters organise Westboro Baptist Church counter-protest

The US band heard that the controversial church members were coming to picket their show, so they organised a very special performance…

THE FOO FIGHTERS have turned the tables on members of the Westboro Baptist Church by organising a counter-protest at one of their shows.

The controversial church, run by Fred Phelps, is well-known for its ‘God hates fags” message and had shown up at the Foo Fighters show at the Sprint Centre in Kansas City to deliver a message to the band and their fans:

You have no proper thoughts of the God that created you, but we’ll be there to make sure you don’t forget when you haul your rebellious carcasses into the Sprint Centre to watch God-hating fools do their schtick.

Dave Grohl and co. took their instruments onto the back of a truck to serenade the protesters with their specially written song ‘Keep It Clean’, which the NME describes as “an ode to same-sex loving”.
