Gardaí investigate after 66-year-old man found dead in Waterford

Officers were called to the scene at around 7pm last night. A post-mortem will take place today.

A GARDA INVESTIGATION is under way in Waterford after a man in his 60s was found dead at house in the city last night.

The body of the 66-year-old was found at the house on Connolly Place at around 7pm yesterday evening.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out later at Waterford Regional Hospital, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.

The scene at the house was sealed off by gardaí overnight.
