Met Éireann says it 'could tip 20 degrees' next week

It will hit around 17 today too…

THE SUN WON’T quite be splitting the stones today. In fact, Met Éireann have revised down their Friday forecast a little, even since yesterday (yes, it’s the sort of thing we keep track of).

Even so – it will reach 17 degrees in some parts of the country today, with the best conditions in the mid-west and west.

Overall though…

A mainly dry day, with a mixture of sunny spells and occasional cloudy periods.

There’ll be a few light showers too, mainly along the south and east coasts.

Looking ahead – don’t hold your breath for the weekend: it will only hit around 14 degrees tomorrow.

There’s better news further into next week, though.

From the Met website this morning:

“Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday look set to be warm, dry days.

“Fairly sunny too, but the sunshine may be rather hazy in nature at times. Top temperatures will be in the mid to high teens in most places, but could tip 20 C., in some areas.”

Sunscreen at the ready, etc.
