The best weather of the week hits Ireland today - let's get out and enjoy it

It’ll be showery and miserable at the weekend – so let’s enjoy it while it lasts.

YET AGAIN, THE weather gods appear not to have heard our requests for a bit of fine weather at the weekend.

As in recent weeks – the best weather hits us bang in the middle of the working week.

According to Met Éireann:

This morning any mist or fog will soon clear and it will be another dry and mostly sunny day. Top temperatures will be 14 to 20 degrees, warmest away from exposed coasts. Easterly winds will be mostly light but increase moderate in the afternoon and fresh along southern coasts.

Tomorrow will be mostly dry with some bright or sunny spells, but cloud will increase. It will hit up to 18 in some areas all the same.

On Friday, it will be cloudy and showery – but still mild enough.

But the weekend, yet again, isn’t looking good.

Case in point:

During Saturday showery rain will move down from the north and clear southeastwards later in a light to moderate northerly breeze.

Not to mention:

It will be cold on Sunday with sunny spells and scattered showers which could turn heavy and with the risk of hail or thunder.

And while we’re at it:

The early days of next week will continue unsettled and cold with scattered showers.

Let’s enjoy the sun while we have it…
