If you're enjoying the nice weather, we have some bad news

“Scattered showers”. Yuck.

IT’S BEEN A fabulous summer we’ve had since the start of the week.

However, it is all over as of today.

Met Éireann says that while today will start warm and sunny, this afternoon will see scattered showers and localised thunderstorms, especially in west Munster, Connacht and west Ulster.

Tonight will see showers die out as cloud breaks, but temperatures will drop to around 10 degrees.

Tomorrow will see hazy sunshine, but cloud will increase throughout the afternoon, bringing rain and gusty winds, despite the 17 to 22 degree weather.

Over the weekend, expect to see showers around the coasts on Saturday and pretty much everywhere by Sunday.

Monday will “start wet” and have some heavy rain.

Still, it was nice while it lasted.
