It snowed in Ireland today - but it should be warmer at the weekend

Snow. At the end of April.

THE ANTICIPATED SNOW for today failed to fully materialise, but some parts of the country reported small amounts of the white stuff.

Tonight will be particularly cold, with lows of -2 degrees and snow flurries on mountains and hills. Tomorrow will also be cold, with highs of just 11 degrees.

The good news is that this weekend, the first weekend of May, won’t see any snow. Hooray.

In fact, Met Éireann says, the weekend could see highs of up to 15 or 16 degrees on Sunday after a wet Saturday.
