Weather warning issued as gusts of up to 100km/hr expected tomorrow

Tempertures will drop to -2 in some places tonight.

MET ÉIREANN HAS issued a national weather warning for tomorrow as strong gusts are expected across the country.

The status yellow warning kicks in a 6am tomorrow and will be in place until 8pm. The forecaster said there will be strong south to southeast winds with gusts of 90 to 100hm/hr.

Met Éireann said today will remain dry in the eastern half of the country, with showers in the west. Temperatures will drop to -2 in some places tonight.

Tomorrow is expected to be a generally wet and windy with widespread persistent rain.
