Investigation after woman's body found in Westmeath

A post mortem will be carried out today.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING after a woman’s body was found at a house in Westmeath.

The woman’s body was found at a house in Ballinacarrigy in Westmeath some time around 9.30pm last night.

The body was taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar and the Office of the State Pathologist notified.

Gardaí say that the nature of the investigation will depend on the results of the post mortem, which is due to be carried out later today.
