Gardaí treating death of Wexford pensioner as suspicious

The body of an 81-year-old man was discovered outside a house at Ballyedmond yesterday afternoon.

GARDAÍ IN WEXFORD are investigating what they call the suspicious death of an 81-year-old man in Ballyedmond yesterday.

The pensioner’s body was discovered outside a house at about 4.50pm Sunday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The area was cordoned off for forensic examinations and the State Pathologist was notified.

A 51-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and taken to Enniscorthy Garda station.
