Woman airlifted to hospital after fall at Dalkey Quarry

The woman, aged in her 30s, fell in an inaccessible area in the quarry this morning.

A WOMAN IN her 30s has been airlifted to hospital she fell at Dalkey Quarry in south Dublin this morning.

Dublin Fire Brigade units from Dun Laoghaire Fire Station attended the scene at around 9am.

Dublin Fire Bridge said that ”due to the nature of the terrain and the injuries sustained the Coast Guard was requested”.

The National Ambulance Service also attended.

The Coast Guard said that the Rescue 116 helicopter was dispatched as the woman was in an inaccessible area.

The woman has been airlifted to Tallaght Hospital.
