Police in Belfast are investigating a report of a serious assault on a woman in the Arthur Lane area.

POLICE IN BELFAST are investigating a report of a serious assault on a woman in the Arthur Lane area of the city shortly after midnight last night.

It was reported that the 26-year-old was assaulted by a man in his early 20s who was wearing a blue hooded top.

The man, who is described as having blond hair, was accompanied by two other men, police say.

Detectives are asking anyone who was in the Arthur Lane/Upper Arthur Street or Patterson’s Place area around the time of the reported attack to get in contact on the PSNI’s new non-emergency number, 101.
