Two women in their 20s die in Donegal house fire

Emergency services were alerted to the blaze when a man who was in the house managed to escape and raise the alarm at approximately 11am.

TWO WOMEN IN their 20s have died in a house fire in Donegal.

Emergency services were alerted to the blaze when a man who was in the house at Ceannan View in Letterkenny managed to escape and raise the alarm at approximately 11am.

One of the women was found in the house and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second woman was brought to Letterkenny General Hospital for treatment for her injuries but died soon afterwards.

The house has been sealed off for a technical examination by Gardaí.
