Teenager killed in Co Derry shooting

Eighteen-year-old girl killed and woman seriously injured at a house in Bellaghy this morning.

AN 18-YEAR-OLD GIRL has been killed and another woman injured in a shooting at a house in Co Derry.

Police say that the shooting at William Court, Bellaghy was reported at about 10.40am today.

The injured woman’s condition is described as serious.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder shortly after 11am. Another man and a woman, both aged 28, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All three were arrested in the Toome area and have been taken to Antrim Police Station for questioning.

Police are appealing for information about the shooting.
