GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are seeking the public’s assistance with their investigations into a “serious sexual assault” in the Dublin 8 area today.
Gardaí at Kevin St are investigating the assault, which is understood to have been carried out against a female with special needs earlier this afternoon.
Detectives believe the victim, aged in her 20s, was brought to a house in the area after being separated from a family member on the South Circular Road, according to RTÉ.

Wishful thinking, if this animal is ever caught the most he’ll do is a few years in a cosy warm cell with his every want and need provided for. He’ll do some sort of rehabilitation course admit that what he done was wrong and released back into society a “reformed man”.

Sadly, the justice system has not shown much competency in dealing with sexual assault and abuse lately.

As someone with a sister with Down’s Syndrome, I’m saddened and disgusted but sadly not shocked. I’m also against the death penalty, but somtimes……
Death would be too quick of a release.. castration would be the torture that is deserved.. there are some sick people in this world. That poor woman, I hope she gets the help and love she needs after that :(
Castration would do nothing, these sick monsters find other ways to find satisfaction and as long as they can move they will. clip a birds wings, sure it may not fly but can still walk about but break its legs and well it won’t get very far.

I’ve an Aunt with an Intellectual Disability/Special Needs so this is just tearing me apart. It’s disgusting. Bad enough when an “ordinary” woman is sexually abused or raped etc. but to pick on someone who has Special Needs, with Downs Syndrome? What sort of a sick pervert is he? It may be vitriolic, it may be right wing but the time has long past that “people” like the culprit *should* have their’ testicles, their’ gonads twisted & removed. I’m repulsed by this. It’s truly horrific. He’d better hope the law gets to him before natural justice does. Sickening. Hard to find words to describe the heinous act. :-(
i don’t mean to take away from this heart breaking story in the slightest but “serious sexual assault”? as opposed to the sexual assault which are just a slap on the wrist offence? :/
