Woman's body found in Waterford City

This is the second body found in Waterford today, but gardaí say the incidents are not connected.

GARDAÍ HAVE DISCOVERED a second person’s body in Waterford.

The discovery of the body of a woman in her 20s was made in the Grange Cohan area of Waterford City at around 8am today.

The body has been removed to Waterford Regional Hospital.

A post-mortem will be carried out on the woman’s body and the area is to be preserved for a technical examination.

A garda spokesperson said there doesn’t appear to be any relation between this incident and the earlier incident in which a man’s body was found in a house in St Herblain Park.
