Worker injured at Mr Binman plant

The company confirmed that one of its employees has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following an incident at its Limerick facility.

WASTE DISPOSAL COMPANY Mr Binman has confirmed that an employee has been seriously injured at its plant in Limerick today.

The incident occurred at the company’s depot in Luddenmore, Grange in Kilmallock.

The worker has been taken to Mid West Regional Hospital in Limerick. His injuries are said to be serious.

In a statement the company said it is liaising with emergency services and relevant authorities to determine the cause of the incident.

Last month, the High Court appointed receivers to the Mr Binman group, putting up to 600 jobs at risk.
