Young man dies after Offaly road crash

The pedestrian was found injured on a road at Killeigh. He later died of his injuries.

A MAN IN his 20s has died after being involved in a road crash in Tullamore in the early hours of this morning.

The young pedestrian was found with serious injuries on a road at Killeigh, Tullamore in Co Offaly in the early hours of this morning.

He was brought to Tullamore General Hospital but was later pronounced dead.

The road has been closed pending an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

An appeal has been issued for any witnesses to the crash or any one who can assist in the investigation to contact Tullamore Garda station on 057-9327 600, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
