Irish mum and daughter killed in Poland

The car accident occurred yesterday.

AN IRISH WOMAN and her daughter have died in a crash in Poland.

Yvonne Buchtrup (30), née Long, is originally from Limerick.

RTÉ reports that she was with her husband and two children on the way to Krakow Airport when the collision occurred.

She and her daughter Ella were killed.

The family live in Norway and the incident occurred at Nowy Targ.

Yvonne Buchtrup is a daughter of racehorse trainer John Long.

The Department of Foreign Affairs said it is offering consular assistance to the family.
