12-year-old boy killed by falling goalposts in Wales

The young boy was playing football with friends when the goalposts fell down yesterday.

A 12-YEAR-OLD boy died in eastern Wales yesterday after he was struck by falling goalposts.

Casey Breese was playing football with other boys when he was struck by the post. He was rushed to hospital, but died from his injuries.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police told Wales Online that an investigation has been launched, but that the circumstances of the death are not being treated as suspicious.

The BBC reports that the goalposts involved in the incident are being examined.

A pre-season friendly by local side Caersws FC was cancelled as a mark of respect today.
