12-year-old boy hurt in Cork hit-and-run

Gardaí are appealing for help in finding the driver.

GARDAÍ IN CORK are appealing for witnesses after a 12-year-old boy was hit by a car in Cork.

The hit-and-run happened on Thomas Davis Street in the Blackpool area of Cork city at around 9.50pm last night.

The boy was seriously injured and taken by ambulance to the Mercy University Hospital. The vehicle involved in the incident failed to remain at the scene.

A technical examination of the scene was carried out and the road has since reopened to traffic.
