12-year-old boy rescued after 50 foot fall

The boy was transported to hospital by helicopter this evening.

A 12-YEAR-old boy was taken to hospital this evening after falling 50 feet off rocks in Shankill, Dublin.

A Coast Guard spokesperson said a cliff rescue team was called in to assist HSE paramedics at around 5pm to retrieve the boy who was “conscious and breathing” at the time.

He was winched into the Coast Guard helicopter and transported to Tallaght Hospital for treatment.
