From small local events to the big State occasions, hundreds of events are planned around the country.

ELECTION OUT OF the way, attention is turning to the 1916 centenary once again.

Hundreds of events – from small, local ones to the big State occasions – are planned for the coming months.

The main State ceremony and parade takes place on Easter Sunday in Dublin city centre, while this morning RTÉ confirmed plans for the “biggest public history and cultural event ever staged in Ireland” the following day.

This morning we’re asking: Will you be going to a 1916 event?
