200 cannabis plants found in house in Kilkenny

The discovery was made in a house on Haggard Road near Kells village.

GARDAÍ HAVE DISCOVERED 200 cannabis plants at a house near Kells village in Co. Kilkenny.

The plants were found in a detached house as part of an investigation into the cultivation of illegal drugs. They were found at about 5pm today in the house at Haggard Road.

The seizure has an estimated street value of €160,000, subject to analysis.

No arrests were made and the investigation is ongoing.

Yesterday 800 cannabis plants were found in a property in Menlough in Galway. One man in his twenties was arrested.
